Tri-Fold & Quad-Fold Cards

Created by Caitlin Greene, Modified on Wed, 17 Jun at 1:28 PM by Caitlin Greene

Our standard tri-fold and quad-folds are roll folds, meaning the flat card is folded inward multiple times in the same direction to create multiple panels of approximately the same size. We also offer gatefold and z-fold cards, tri-fold card variations, that we have a separate article on. You can even order custom folded cards with PrintsWell.

Fold Type

Both of these cards are considered roll folds. A roll fold is a paper folding technique where a single sheet of paper is folded in repeated, parallel folds in the same direction, causing the panels to roll into one another. Standard Tri-Fold (3 panels) and Quad-fold (4 panels) cards are made up of equal sized panels.

Orientation

These cards can be set up for landscape or portrait orientations for a different design layout that best suits your project.

File Setup

Proper file setup for multi-panel cards is crucial to ensure your item prints as intended. Please see our Tri-Fold & Quad-Fold File Setup article for more informartion. You can also reference our templates for the standard sizes we offer for proper layout.

Custom Sizes

We offer folded cards, including custom tri-fold and quad-fold fold cards up to a maximum flat size of 11" x 17". Custom scoring is also available.

If you need a custom size or custom score location, select Enter Size Manually next to the Size dropdown when available. Please include your custom score location in the order notes. For more information, see our Ordering Custom Sized Cards article.
