Translucent Vellum Paper

Vellum is a translucent paper stock often used to add layering, contrast, and visual interest to stationery and printed pieces. Its semi-transparent appearance makes it a popular choice for invitation wraps, overlays, inserts, belly bands, and other decorative applications.

Our 40 bond translucent vellum is available for either full-color (CMYK) or white ink printing.

Using Vellum in Your Designs

Vellum can be layered over printed pieces, color stocks, photographs, or other design elements to create depth and dimension. Its translucent quality allows underlying artwork to remain partially visible, making it useful for overlays, wraps, and multi-piece stationery suites.

Please note that vellum products ship flat. Die cutting and scoring are not available on this stock.

Ordering Vellum Wraps

To order a vellum wrap, select the Flat Card product option in the ordering portal and enter your desired dimensions. Custom sizes are available up to 11" x 17". Common wrap sizes are 7x10 and 7x11 to fit a 5x7 suite, but any size may be used as long as it falls within the maximum size dimensions.

Vellum Belly Bands

We offer four standard belly band sizes in translucent vellum. Belly bands can be used to hold invitation suites together, secure folded pieces, or add an additional design element to stationery and packaging projects. If you prefer a size that isn't one of our standard sizes, you can simply enter the size manually to get your preferred belly band size.

CMYK Printing on Vellum

CMYK printing on vellum allows artwork, text, and graphics to be reproduced in full color while retaining the stock's translucent appearance. Because vellum allows light to pass through the sheet, printed colors may appear softer than they would on opaque paper stocks. This effect can create a subtle layered look when used over other printed materials.

White Ink Printing on Vellum

White ink provides greater opacity than standard CMYK inks, making text and artwork more visible on translucent vellum. White ink can be used on its own or combined with CMYK printing to create layered designs and highlight specific elements within a layout.
